THE TOUR manager of the Black Eyed Peas has been charged with assault after allegedly attacking Perez Hilton.
The celebrity blogger said he was assaulted by Polo Molina outside the Cobra nightclub in Toronto on Monday night after getting into an argument with Fergie and Will.i.am.
Posting updates on Twitter, Hilton wrote: "I'm in shock. I need the police ASAP."
His next update read: "I was assaulted by Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas and his security guards. I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke."
He later posted a video on his website claiming it was the singer's manager, Polo Molina, who attacked him.
Police in Toronto say 36-year-old Molina turned himself in and has been charged with assault.
Will.i.am, famous for hits including Where Is The Love and Don't Phunk With My Heart, responded to Perez Hilton's claims in his own video posted online.
"I didn't hit you. I told you that I didn't like the fact that you disrespected us. It's cool to have your opinion."
He went on to accuse Perez Hilton, who's real name is Mario Lavendeira, of trying to attract publicity.
"Instead of calling the police you twittered that I assaulted you. Sounds like somebody wants mad attention and is not really concerned about his health," he said.
Perez Hilton denied that, saying: "I would never make something like this up, or try to use something like this for press, because I don't need it."
"I called the police BEFORE I Tweeted about it. They were not showing up. I felt helpless."
