The 35-year-old music star has penned a new book, which he claims lifts the lid on the secrets behind the Grammy Award-winning hip-hop group.
Fallin’ Up: My Story includes details about singer Fergie’s embarrassing rapping debut, which saw her channelling ABC by the Jackson 5.
Taboo recalls how Justin Timberlake – who collaborated with the US group on their track Where Is The Love? – recorded the tune just 24 hours after splitting from Britney Spears and used his heartbreak to make the hit shine.
The American rapper also opens up about how meeting Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards helped him kick his drug addiction.
The book, which he has written with writer Steve Dennis, hit shelves earlier this month and costs $24.99.
Publisher Simon & Schuster has dubbed it “the first book from inside the Black Eyed Peas, tracing the group's evolution”.
