The 23-year-old Gossip Girl actress was swamped by designers and cosmetics companies wanting her to be the face of their product. However, Lively said that she turned them all down because she was waiting for a call from Chanel.
Her wish finally came true when Karl Lagerfeld signed her as the face of Chanel's Mademoiselle handbag line earlier this year, and she said that it hard to get her head around – especially when the fashion house threw two special dinners in her honour.
She told the New York Times, 'I was just having a conversation and I looked down and saw, 'Chanel: Dinner in Honour of Blake Lively'. It's crazy.
'I had other opportunities and I would say, 'Thank you so much, but I am holding out for Chanel'. That's who I want to be the face of.'
