Blake Lively says she thinks her `dad paid` to get her on Time`s 100 most influential people list

In an interview with Betty White and Regis Philbin on US TV the Green Lantern star, 23, said: 'I still feel like my dad paid Time magazine to make me feel good about myself. I don't know how I got that honour but it's still incredible. I was so surprised,' she said on the live morning show Regis and Kelly.

She added: 'And to have Baz Luhrmann write the piece, I mean I have always been such a huge fan of his so the whole thing was so surreal.'

Blake, who has just spent a few weeks intensively learning French, also told a story about meeting fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld in New York.

'He arrived via party bus which was amazing because everyone else arrived in a town car. He left early and I was supposed to meet him, but the party bus was empty... and I found him in this diner in his fingerless gloves and full Karl Lagerfeld glasses, in this crappy diner with his menu. It was so crazy I had to take pictures.'
