Overview
According to Grazia magazine, studio executives are talking about bringing SATC author Candace Bushnell's 2010 prequel The Carrie Diaries to life for the big screen.
The movie would feature a new cast of single ladies to portray Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha, and writer-director-producer Michael Patrick King reportedly has his eye on Gossip Girl star Blake Lively to fill the lead role.
An insider told the magazine, 'The prequel is about breathing new life into the story and exploring Carrie's first few months in NYC and the beginning of her relationship with an older man.'
