Blake Shelton: Don’t pity my wife

Blake Shelton has joked that people shouldn't feel sorry for his wife Miranda Lambert when he's drunk as she's "rich".

The country singer is famed for his humorous tweets and has previously explained that although people often misconstrue his Twitter banter, it's all tongue in cheek.

The 35-year-old star took to the social networking site to cheekily defend his actions.

When one fan tweeted: "You're a strange man Blake Shelton...poor Miranda :)" in reference to his songstress wife, the star retorted, "Poors ass!!!! She's rich!!!! (sic)"

Blake soon jokingly confirmed that he was under the influence on his personal Twitter page.

"Does Porky Pig have sausage balls? (sic)" he quipped, when a fan asked if he was drunk.

The star continued with his ramblings online. He posted his "quote of the day" while congratulating himself on his sense of humour.

"I hate cucumbers... All they're good for is the d**k on a snowman.." - Mike Shackleford" he wrote before posting: "Ba! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! I just realized how funny I am!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! (sic)"

Blake had a show date in Las Vegas earlier this month and made sure he also had fun while over there.

He took to his Twitter page to update his followers on his drunken escapades.

"I'm so drunk right now I just walked up to a hooker in Vegas and shouted... 'Hey! You take groupons?!! Cause there's several of us!!!!!'" he quipped before adding: "I'm so drunk right now in Reno I just turned to a cop and said 'No sir I was NOT pi**ing my name in the snow!!!!! I was going to poop it!!' (sic)"
