Blake Shelton says he and Adam Levine are like two guys "sitting around a bar, making jabs" at one another.
The singers star as mentors on hit TV talent show The Voice together. Much has been made of their close friendship, with some suggesting the relationship is a burgeoning "bromance".
Blake has explained the background behind the story that made headlines recently, when he suggested he wanted to lock lips with the Maroon 5 frontman.
"A few weeks ago somebody asked me, 'What about you and Adam's bromance. Is there anything to it?' And I sputtered off, 'Yeah, I'm going to make out with him.' The next thing you read is, 'Blake wants to kiss Adam.' Man, I can't believe how ..." he recalled to People, before Adam chimed in, 'True that is?'"
"How honest I was. But it's fun. It's just like we're sitting around the bar, making jabs at each other," Blake added.
Adam is glad he's formed a strong bond with his The Voice co-star. However, the singer does have one request when it comes to people defining his friendship with country star Blake, and that is to stop the word "bromance".
"Can we please kill that stupid term?" he mused. "We're just friends. It's called friendship!"
