Blake Shelton has told critics to "kiss [his] ass" after his contestant won the US version of The Voice.
The country music star is a team leader and mentor on the talent show alongside Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green. He is celebrating after seeing his team member Jermaine Paul take the prize at the show's season two finale on Tuesday night.
"Still in shock... Thank you America!!! You picked the right guy... Congrats @JermainePaul.... You deserve this (sic)," he wrote on Twitter following the show.
"Awe... And we arrive to my favorite place. The place where every doubter, critic, hater or simply the ignorers can officially kiss my ass!! (sic)."
His competitor Christina was also pleased for the winner. She praised all the contestants for their talent and hard work.
"Congratulations to @JermainePaul - THE VOICE. We ALL believe we can fly when you sing. Simply extraordinary!!! XoXtina (sic)," she wrote on Twitter.
"Great energy tonight on finale of #TheVoice! Congrats to all the contestants - you're all winners. Love & Respect – XoXtina (sic)."
Adam was just as happy to show his well wishes to Jermaine. "Congrats to @JermainePaul !!!!!!! A strong man with a strong voice!!!! (sic)," he tweeted.
