Blink-182 have confirmed that they have been told to complete their new album by July 31.
Drummer Travis Barker said their record label had given them the definitive date for their follow-up to their 2003 self-titled sixth album.
He told Rolling Stone they would now "use every single day" to finish the record.
Singer and guitarist Tom DeLonge added that the band thought they were nearing the end of recording when they started writing “a whole set of new stuff”.
Earlier this week, fans of Blink-182 in the UK reacted angrily after the band announced details of a new US tour – weeks after postponing a UK jaunt until 2012.
