Bob Geldof's wedding celebrations were reportedly a chance for his family to look to the future following the death of his daughter Peaches last year (Apr14).
The music mogul tied the knot with his long-term partner Jeanne Marine during a lavish ceremony in the South of France this year (15). Bob's daughters Pixie and Fifi Trixibelle and their sister Tiger Lily - who Bob adopted after the death of their mother Paula Yates - united for the event. Not only did they toast Bob and Jeanne's nuptials, but they apparently also reflected on the loss of Peaches, who died from an overdose.
"The sisters had all made a vow to make it a happy day, as this was a time for celebrating the future," a source told Britain's Closer magazine. "There were moments of sadness of course, but everyone was determined it would be a happy occasion.
"It was about coming together as a family and celebrating the future."
There were some A-list guests in attendance too, including Demi Moore, Jerry Hall and billionaire businessman Richard Branson. To get the party in full swing, Bob is said to have requested guests ditch their shoes and formalities for the nuptials and reception.
Celebrations are said to have continued into the early hours.
"It was a wild affair at a beachfront house near Nice, with champagne flowing," the source added. "The music went on until around 5am and Bob got up and sang a few songs."
Peaches' widower Thomas Cohen was also pictured at the wedding. Since the death of his wife he's been looking after their young sons Astala, three, and Phaedra, two.
Thomas has been welcomed with open arms by the Geldofs and is often spotted out with the clan and his little boys.
