Overview
Daddy Cool, the new musical based on the music of Boney M and starring former EastEnders actress Michelle Collins and rap group So Solid Crew's Harvey has premiered in London.
The £3 million musical also stars Pop Stars - The Rivals contestant Javine.
Taking inspiration from Romeo and Juliet, the show tells the story of Sunny, from west London, who falls in love with Rose, the daughter of notorious East End club owner Ma Baker, played by Collins.
But the lovers' relationship fuels the hostility between two rival London gangs.
Boney M were the 1975 brainchild of producer Frank Farian, who put together the band, fronted by four singers.
They had their first hit single with Daddy Cool and went on to have 38 top 10 hits between 1975 and 1988.
The group broke up in 1985 but their music was back in the charts in 1992 with the release of the Boney M Megamix.
