Boy George will appear in court today charged with falsely imprisoning a male escort by chaining him to a wall. The 47-year-old singer and DJ - whose real name is George O'Dowd - is due to attend a hearing at Thames Magistrates' Court in London. He was charged earlier this month after an alleged incident in his flat in Shoreditch, in east London.
It is alleged that George falsely imprisoned a 28-year-old in Ravey Street on April 28.
Last year, George pleaded guilty to falsely reporting a burglary at his lower Manhattan apartment in New York.
The officers who responded found cocaine. However, the singer was only convicted of wasting police time and was ordered to do community service.
