Singer Boy George is to stand trial next year after he appeared in court charged with the false imprisonment of a male escort.
The former Culture Club frontman is accused of chaining the escort to a wall at his home in Hackney, East London on 28 April.
At a hearing on Thursday at the capital's Thames Magistrates Court, the 46-year-old - real name George O'Dowd - spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth.
He is currently free on conditional bail until his trial, which is due to take place at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 25 February.
