Soundscape legend Brian Eno has confirmed a collaborative album with poet Rick Holland.
Following his mesmerising Small Craft On A Milk Sea album of last year, Eno is ramping up activity by creating an album with poet Rick Holland, who he met in back in 2003.
The album will be called Drums Between The Bells and the first song 'Glitch' promises a more straightforward electro sound (Holland's words appear as a digitised monotone over skittering beats) compared to Small Craft's distorted drone.
As usual, it won't be any ordinary release. It will be a two-CD set – the second disc containing instrumental versions of the songs – accompanied by a 44-page book.
There will also be a vinyl version with an mp3 download code.
Drums Between The Bells will be released on July 4 through Warp Records.
