Brian McFadden considers his marriage to Vogue Williams to be his "first time".
The Irish singer was married to Kerry Katona between 2002 and 2004, and engaged to singer Delta Goodrem for four years, but says when he was younger he didn't understand what he was doing which makes his latest union his first proper marriage.
He told the UK edition of HELLO! magazine: "For me this is my first time getting married.
"This is me getting married for the rest of my life - and a completely different life. I was 18 or 19 when I got married the first time. I was in Westlife. I had no idea what I was doing. It wasn't till I was 30 that I turned into an adult."
Brian, 32, and model-and-DJ Vogue, 26, met 18 months ago in a Dublin nightclub and wed in a castle in Florence, Italy, at the beginning of this month.
Brian's daughters, Molly, 11, and nine-year-old Lilly-Sue, from his marriage to Kerry, acted as bridesmaids and Vogue gets on well with them.
She said: "They weren't too keen on being flower girls, so they are mini-bridesmaids. They are such easy girls to be with. We get on really well. They are fun to hang around with. They totally accept me."
While Brian is keen to start a family with his new wife, she is keen to wait a little while first.
She added: "Not for a few years. Who wants pregnant DJs? Brian would have a child tomorrow if he could. He's great with the girls. He's great with the dog."
