A superstar music line-up tonight (8th December) kicked off Christmas at 95-106 Capital FM's two day music spectacular – the Jingle Bell Ball with Blackberry. The O2 arena played host to some of the world's hottest artists, wowing a crowd of over 16,000 with show-stopping performances for day one of the event.
The show saw sets from Bruno Mars, Cheryl Cole, One Direction, Little Mix, Rizzle Kicks, Lawson, JLS, The Script, as well as a surprise guest appearance from Will.i.am, who joined Cheryl on stage for one of her early hits, 'Three Words'. Cheryl also treated the crowd to renditions of 'Fight For This Love' and her latest hit 'Under The Sun'.
Hot four piece JLS kicked off proceedings with a show-stopping performance of their hit single 'She Makes Me Wanna' but the loudest screams of the night were for One Direction who serenaded fans with a set that included 'What Makes You Beautiful' and 'Little Things'.
Bruno Mars brought the party to a close with an eight song set of his smash hits 'Just The Way You Are', 'Grenade' and 'Locked Out Of Heaven'. He also paid tribute to Amy Winehouse with a special cover of 'Valerie'.
Now in its fifth year, the sell-out show was hosted by some of the station's hottest DJs – 95.8 Capital FM's weekday breakfast show hosts Dave Berry and Lisa Snowdon, as well as Pandora and Rich Clarke.
The Jingle Bell Ball is supporting Capital's flagship charity, Help A Capital Child, with a donation being made from the proceeds of the event.
