Bruno Mars has vowed to sing his older songs until the day he dies.
The Hawaiian-born star enjoyed worldwide success with his 2010 album Doo-Wops & Hooligans, which boasted hit singles including Just the Way You Are and The Lazy Song. Bruno will always look back fondly on the tracks that made him a global superstar.
"I love those [older] songs," he told a US newspaper. "I'll stand by them and sing them till the day I die."
Bruno is currently promoting his latest album Unorthodox Jukebox, which was released this month and features the chart-topping track Locked out of Heaven.
The 27-year-old was thrilled to work on new material and hopes it will show fans a new side to him.
"An artist has to stay excited to keep on doing it. And the way to stay excited is to keep pushing and to keep experimenting," he explained. "I feel like I pushed on this record."
Bruno recently revealed he enjoys challenging himself when he is working on fresh songs. The star feels inspired by stars such as Michael Jackson, Prince and Kanye West as they manage to reinvent themselves with each new record.
Bruno hopes that Unorthodox Jukebox will reflect where he is in life today.
