Calvin Harris gives up the booze

Calvin Harris gave up alcohol after overindulging at V Festival.

The 'I'm Not Alone' hitmaker admits he got so drunk he can barely remember anything about last year's event in Chelmsford and it made him resolve to change his behaviour.

Speaking at this year's Virgin Mobile V Festival, he said: "I haven't drunk a drop since last year/ I was annoyed I hadn't been getting enough done, hangovers were taking over.

"Now I'm working so much more. I just got back from Ibiza this morning after three hours sleep but I rely on Red Bull energy drinks to keep me awake."

Even though he was sober, Calvin loved playing this year's festival and says he loves getting the opportunity to win over new fans.

He explained: "I enjoy festivals more than ever. We always play 'I'm Not Alone' at the end and no other song has the same effect. It gets all the hands in the air.

"Festivals give you the extra opportunity to convert people so they go away and say, 'Actually, he wasn't s**t.' "
