CALVIN HARRIS has come clean and admitted he lied about losing some music on a plane.
The Scottish DJ claimed that a hard drive containing important recordings was missing after he returned home from a trip to Miami. in April last year.
At the time, he said: "I have been walking in circles for a couple of days, and I will continue to do so until I meet the man/robot responsible and set him/it on fire. I shall overcome! Once he's on fire."
But Harris has now confessed to making up the whole thing because he wanted to work slowly on his new album.
Speaking to BBC News, he said: "My second album was going to be rushed out, but I made up a story that I lost it on a flight and that bought me a year's worth of time.
"That was the year that 'Dance Wiv Me' came out, so that in itself reminded everyone that I was still alive and still making music."
The musician's second studio album Ready For The Weekend, the follow-up to 2007's I Created Disco, will be released next month.
