Levi's® is to host 2 weeks of live acoustic sessions starting on Tuesday 17th August. The Craft of Music – Live Sessions will give music enthusiasts access to a diverse array of musical talent in a truly unique and intimate setting.
As well as listening to enthralling sets from some of the best emerging and established talent around, fans will also have the opportunity to put questions to a select number of artists. All sessions will take place in the newly crafted Levi's® 'Origin' space, a performance area situated at the front of Levi's® Flagship store on Regent Street.
On Tuesday 17th August Levi's® kick-start the first of six dates with piano virtuoso, composer, film writer, actor and performer Chilly Gonzalez, collaborator and friend of Peaches, Feist and Erol Alkan. Support will be in the form of electro songstress, CocknBullKid, who he is currently concocting some sensational new sounds which will be showcased on the night alongside Gonzalez's amazing solo work.
Wednesday sees long time masters of acoustic performance The Magic Numbers dropping in just before they take off on their Runaway tour around the UK with Levi's® Ones To Watch® favorites Summer Camp in tow with a melodic bag of lo-fi pop treats.
If you're into American folk rock then jaw dropping major label star in the making Lissie will do more than whet your appetite on Thursday 19th, alongside brilliant London bastions of blues The Brute Chorus.
To kick start week two on Monday 23rd Scottish musical maestro Steve Mason, ex-lead singer from the Beta-band and King Biscuit Time figurehead, will be flying in to exercise the unmistakable vocals from new album Boys Outside as well as his legendary previous work. In support the English folktronica one-man tornado, James Yuill will be injecting a flurry of folk-funk into proceedings.
Check 1,2 - A true leader in the world of vocal manipulation, UK Beatbox Champion, and now comedian and transatlantic success story Beardyman, with be dropping some voicebox generated beats and treats on Tuesday 24th alongside the trombone yielding underground hero of hertz, Bass Clef.
To round up this instalment of the Live Sessions Levi's® have pulled in the help of Dirty Pretty Things front man, bona-fide solo legend and founding member of the generation defining Libertines, Carl Barat.
