SCORES of Carl Barat fans were moved along by police after queueing for hours to see the singer play.
The former Dirty Pretty Things frontman performed at the Monach pub in Camden on Saturday night as part of the Camden Rocks event.
He came on stage at 11.15pm but many fans were left outside the venue after it reached its capacity at about 9pm.
Many were still queueing outside, with many more showing up to wait, at about 11.30pm, despite being told they had no chance of getting in.
One fan said: We showed up at 9.30 and were told in no uncertain terms that we would not be getting inside to see Carl as they were already packed out.
"We decided to head up the road to see Pete Doherty instead, but when we walked past the Monarch later at about midnight, there were still loads of people trying to get in."
Police were called to help enforce the venue closure, and organisers with megaphones asked the fans, some of whom were calling for refunds, to disperse.
Barat, who was celebrating his 31st birthday, had been rumoured to play with former bandmate Pete Doherty that night, who had earlier performed a set at Camden's Underworld.
