Carl Barat has fanned the flames of rumour surrounding The Libertines reuniting for a one-off gig this summer, saying that it's 'very much a possibility'.
This weekend, the band made headlines when Pete Doherty revealed that he'd accepted an offer for the band to play a huge reunion gig at Hyde Park. After that, The Libertines' official Facebook page profile picture was changed to an old map of Hyde Park, which the band's management directed all enquiries to when asked for comment.
It certainly looks set to happen, and in a new interview with Gigslutz, Barat said that chances of a reunion were 'very much a possibility', before adding "keep the 5th July free".
The band last reunited to perform at Reading and Leeds festival in 2010.
In an interview with Israeli newspaper Ynet, which was translated by The Music Charger, Pete Doherty reportedly said: "I don't know if I'm supposed to even tell you this, but we were offered to reform The Libertines for a show this July in Hyde park. I got the call just yesterday. Well, I said yes."
