Carly Rae Jepsen Dishes About Her First Kiss

Carly Rae Jepsen fans better get ready to pucker up, because you're about to get a big Kiss this September. Earlier this month, the "Call Me Maybe" singer revealed that Kiss would be the title for her highly anticipated U.S. debut, which hits stores September 18.

We recently spoke to Jepsen at the first-ever MixTape Festival, where we asked the VMA Best New Artist nominee what inspired the album title.‪

"You know, I was at an interview once, and someone just came out and asked me 'What's your album going to be called?' and I was like, 'Kiss,' and that was how I decided," Jepsen revealed. "It really is an album about love, flirtation and the beginnings of things and it felt like it really suited it, and as well, there's a track called "This Kiss" on the album, which I think is probably my favorite song so that's probably why."‪

Being that the album is all about love, Jepsen, who said she was going for a "Saved by the Bell" vibe for her colorful album cover, opened up about her first time ever being kissed.

"I waited for my first kiss. I waited until I was 17, and he was a jazz singer named Brenden Call," Jepsen said. "Nice guy, sweet guy. We still keep in touch on Facebook. "

And with the good kisses, ultimately come the bad ones, but fortunately for Jepsen, she has yet to have a bad kiss experience.

"No I haven't, luckily," Jepsen said. "I have a couple of girlfriends who've told me some horror stories but I've never had a really terrible kiss before."

As for a potential celebrity kiss, Jepsen said she wouldn't mind smooching a certain fellow Canadian, and no, it's not .

"Ryan Gosling!" Jepsen excitedly said.
