Carly Rae Jepsen: Minaj is sexy

Carly Rae Jepsen is amazed by how "powerful" Nicki Minaj is.

The pair collaborated on a remix of Carly's new track Tonight I'm Getting Over You.

The Call Me Maybe singer is incredibly impressed with Nicki's talents.

Carly believes the Roman Reloaded rapper added a lot of flavour to the tune.

"Nicki was perfect for the song, because she is sexy and powerful," Carly told America's OK! magazine. "Ending a relationship takes all the confidence you've got. And it's such a breakup anthem that the song didn't feel finished without her."

Carly rose to fame on TV singing competition Canadian Idol. She later garnered exposure through teen heartthrob Justin Bieber.

The star is open to even more surprises in her future.

"It's a fun thing to think about," Carly said. "Usually, I take it a year at a time. I do this thing where I have this bed sheet, and I pin it to the wall. I get markers, and draw out this map of what's next, and what I have coming. It always ends up being completely different from my plans. I've learned, if anything, to expect the unexpected."

Carly is currently engaged in a romantic relationship with Matthew Koma.

Tonight I'm Getting Over You is the third track from the Canadian crooner's Kiss album.
