Stuff your turkeys and break out the cranberry sauce — the holidays are nearly upon us! And, this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will be populated by some of Justin Bieber's closest pals. Carly Rae Jepsen, Cody Simpson and The Wanted are among the acts set to appear during the 86th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, November 22, MTV News can exclusively confirm.
Additional acts slated to appear on the show include often-shirtless rapper Flo Rida (who may want to opt for a coat given the usually chilly temps in NYC), pop/rockers Neon Trees, YouTube sensations-turned-chart-toppers Karmin, "Bubbly" singer Colbie Caillat, "iCarly" star Jennette McCurdy and viral-video stars Megan & Liz.
"I've been watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade since I was a little girl, and never thought that I would be there on such a fun day, on a float with all those fantastic balloons and New Yorkers lining the street," Caillat said in a statement to MTV News. "I am so excited to perform and give my support for the great city as it recovers from Hurricane Sandy."
"Jersey Shore" stars set to "Restore the Shore" next Thursday on MTV during Hurricane Sandy benefit!
The annual holiday-themed parade will air at 9 a.m. ET on Thanksgiving Day. U.S. Olympic Gold Medalists Gabby Douglas, McKayla Maroney, Aly Raisman, Kyla Ross and Jordyn Wieber; Jimmy Fallon and The Roots; Rachel Crow; Santa Claus; and the Radio City Rockettes are all onboard to float through the Big Apple alongside the real stars of the parade, the famed balloons. It will all be hosted by "Today" show anchors Matt Lauer, Al Roker and Savannah Guthrie.
