Carrie Underwood: I've baby-proofed my bus

Singer Carrie Underwood has baby-proofed her tour bus so her son can come on the road with her without falling down the trash shoot.

The 32-year-old star became a mother for the first time when she gave birth to little boy Isaiah with her husband Mike Fisher in February (15). In 2016 she's starting her The Storyteller Tour – Stories in the Round to promote her latest album, Storyteller, and will be kicking things off in Florida before finishing in Canada. Isaiah will be joining her for the journey, so Carrie has to make sure everything is safe for the tot.

"Yeah he'll come on the road, we kind of got our bus outfitted for a baby," she smiled to talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.

"There's a crib that's in the back and it's built in so it's sturdy, it's not gonna be like, flying all over the bus. There's a lot of drawers and doors on the bus and there's like a trash shoot, (babies) love trash shoots... So we had to put locking mechanisms on everything, you press a button and everything locks. They're tall buttons, they're not where he can get to."

The musician's son is already strong but isn't quite big enough to be walking yet. Quizzed on whether he'll end up being a hockey player like his dad when he's older Carrie admitted she isn't sure, but did note that he's just as "sturdy" as Mike.
Having played so many packed out shows, the blonde beauty can't be too nervous about going on tour. There have been times where she felt a little overwhelmed though, such as being tasked to sing American's National Anthem on several occasions such as at the Super Bowl.

"That's our song, you know?" she told Jimmy of the responsibility. "And you know you know it, but... It's not something you sing every day! It's not even that - I screw up the words to my own songs that I have sang a thousand times. And people start singing along half a second behind you so you have to ignore them."
