The 42-year-old singer gave birth to the boys via caesarean section in a Florida hospital last Saturday. The babies were a month premature and as a result were required to stay in an incubator as a precautionary measure.
But as they have been given the all clear Céline and her husband René Angélil have now taken the new additions to their family home. The couple already have nine-year-old son René-Charles together, and he is said to be looking forward to getting to know his brothers better.
"Céline and the twins went home on Wednesday evening. Everyone's doing great. They are happy to be home. Three of her sisters and her mom are there helping out," her representative confirmed.
Céline and René have also finally decided on a name for the newborns – Eddy and Nelson, reported Canada's TVA.
The pair chose the name Eddy in homage to Eddy Marnay, the producer of Céline’s first five records. Nelson was selected as a tribute to Nelson Mandela, who Céline met two years ago at the start of her world tour in South Africa.
"Céline and René want their children to be inspired by their names, because they were so inspired by these men," their representative revealed.
Céline plans to enjoy mothering Eddy and Nelson while she has some time on her hands as she is set to complete a series of 70 strenuous concerts in Las Vegas next year.
