Celine Dion is "waiting for good news" about a second pregnancy.
The 42-year-old singer – who has a nine-year-old son Rene-Charles with husband Rene Angelil – confesses she doesn't like to talk about having more children but would love to add to her family in the future.
She said: "Well we're crossing our fingers. We're waiting for good news hopefully. I don't want to talk about it so much because I'm superstitious, but I know people have been very wonderful for us and praying for us. Right now we are crossing our fingers, we hope for the best and I can't wait to give people good news."
The French-Canadian star also admits she will not release any information until she is sure she is pregnant as she doesn't want to confuse fans.
She told Wendy Williams on her TV show: "Once you live in showbusiness and everything spreads out so quick and every pregnancy you have to wait three months to make sure it's all ok and it's nerve racking. We're not getting any younger and you always think it's your last chance, you're last try.
"I don't want to jinx myself and say, 'We think we are' and then someone hears the wrong thing and it's, 'She's not and she is and she's not and she is'. It's terrible. It's exactly what we don't want – the fans, the people to hear that. We continue to wait and we hope for the best."
Earlier this year, Celine claimed she would undergo in vitro fertilisation (IVF) for the fifth time to get pregnant.
She said: "I'm going to try until it works. Five's my lucky number, so this is the time it's got to work."
