Charli XCX: I want to perform with Paris Hilton!

Singer Charli XCX has her eye on a performance with Paris Hilton, who she hails one of the "first champions of celebrity culture".

The British star has already collaborated with some of the biggest names in the industry, with tracks featuring Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora under her belt. But there are still a few names on her bucket list and DJ-and-socialite Paris makes the cut.

"I'm such a Paris Hilton fan," she gushed to Britain's OK! magazine, adding "ultimate pop princess" Britney Spears into the mix too. "She's very intelligent and one of the first champions of celebrity culture. She was ahead of her time and her Stars Are Blind track is an incredible pop song."

Speaking of A-list collaborators, Charli has also spent some time writing for Rihanna. While she's not yet sure if her material will be used, the process alone was exciting.

"I did some writing for her album but I don't know if anything's going to come of it," she admitted. "I'm a fan of hers so I'd love it if it did but I'm just excited to hear what she's going to put out because the stuff she's been doing lately is badass!"

Her previous collaborations have certainly gone down well, with her Rita track Doing It landing in the top 10 of the UK charts. Charli loved working with the fellow Brit and they've now formed a friendship.

"(It was) so fun," she smiled. "She's one of the most real, cool people I've met in the music industry. She's 100 per cent amazing. I sent her the track Doing It and she cut her parts in the studio, but we have met up and hung out a lot, too. I'm hoping we might do some stuff for her album as well."
