Sheen has been undergoing a course of rehab at his Hollywood home since the weekend after he was hospitalized with severe stomach pains following an extensive drug and alcohol binge.
His decision to suspend filming of the hit sitcom left many crew members upset, because they are not paid during the hiatus. His spokesman Stan Rosenfeld told The New York Times that the break would not last too long, with filming due to resume by the end of this month.
'That is a target date,' Rosenfeld said. 'Dealing with rehab, you never know.'
The statement came after Sheen issued his first comments since admitting himself to rehab, thanking his bosses at CBS and Warner Brothers, the studio that produces the series, as well as his fellow cast members and the crew of this show for their support, saying he had 'a lot of work to do.'
