Warner Bros fired Sheen from the top-rated show earlier this week following months of erratic drug-induced behavior from the highest paid star in television and a flood of media interviews in which Sheen castigated Lorre and other production executives.
In his 30-page lawsuit Sheen demanded payment for the eight cancelled episodes for both himself and the crew. He claimed that the studio and Lorre had long-planned to cancel the show to concentrate on other sitcoms and just used Sheen's behaviour as an excuse.
'Chuck Lorre, one of the richest men in television who is worth hundreds of millions of dollars, believes himself to be so wealthy and powerful that he can unilaterally decide to take money away from the dedicated cast and crew of the popular television series, 'Two and a Half Men,' in order to serve his own ego and self-interest, and make the star of the Series the scapegoat for Lorre's own conduct,' the complaint alleged.
