Following a string of sold out UK dates in October 2011, including Londonʼs Islington Academy, Charlie Simpson has today announced his biggest solo show to date at KOKO, London. The date has been confirmed for March 22nd 2012. Further shows next year are set to be announced in the coming weeks.
Charlieʼs 2011 tour perfectly showcased his strength as a musician, songwriter and performer. It also proved to be the best possible arena to hear his fantastic debut album ʻYoung Pilgrimʼ, which charted at Number Six in the album charts in August of this year.
2011 has been a stella year for Charlie. His latest single ʻCemeteryʼ was selected as the iTunes Single Of The Week and has been downloaded over 70,000 times. The lead single from the album ʻDown Down Downʼ was rapturously received by Charlieʼs fans, including Radio 1 DJ Fearne Cotton.
Charlie has also made numerous TV appearances including performing on ITVʼs Daybreak, Channel 4ʻs Hollyoaks Music Show and Channel 5ʼs OK TV. His music videos have gained over 1 million views on YouTube, including the video for new single ʻCemeteryʼ where Charlie is assaulted by low flying fruit.

ʻYoung Pilgrimʼ saw Charlie join forces with acclaimed producer Danton Supple (Coldplay, Doves) to record the album. The result is an accomplished 12-track record that emanates vintage warmth and whose luscious melodies and occasional imperfections lend it a vibrant character and earnest charm.
The album, ʻYoung Pilgrimʼ was released in partnership with Nusic Sounds and distributed by PIAS.
