Electronic music act the Chemical Brothers topped the British album charts on Sunday with their new release "We Are The Night", according to data from the Official UK Charts Company.
The duo's sixth studio recording takes its title from a line in a 1967 poem by Canadian beat poet Bill Bissett.
Bissett also features on the album in a recording of him reading the poem.
Antipodean rock act Crowded House were new at number three with "Time On Earth", while rock supergroup Velvet Revolver were the week's other new entry at number six with their album "Libertad".
In the singles chart R&B singer Rihanna celebrated her eighth straight week at number one with "Umbrella", featuring New York rapper Jay-Z.
Canadian singer Avril Lavigne climbed 14 places to number three with "When You're Gone".
American hip-hop producer Timbaland was up 12 at number six with "The Way I Are", featuring New York rapper D.O.E. and R&B singer Keri Hilson.
