Chris Martin 'still texting Jennifer Lawrence'

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin is apparently still in contact with his ex Jennifer Lawrence, despite now dating Annabelle Wallis.

Since splitting with his former wife Gwyneth Paltrow in March 2014, in a move they dubbed "conscious uncoupling", Chris has barely been seen without a lady on his arm. The 38-year-old was linked to Hunger Games star Jennifer, 25, on and off for a year until August (15). Since then he's been spotted getting friendly with Peaky Blinders star Annabelle.

However, sources close to the rocker say the things that plagued his romance with Jennifer are still present. "It's a total role reversal," the insider told Britain's Grazia magazine. "When Jen was dating Chris he always had one eye on Gwyneth, which was part of the reason they finally called it a day. Now he's with someone new it's as if history is repeating itself, and he keeps checking in with Jen. Privately, she's told friends that he seems to have a problem gaining closure from relationships."

The source adds that Chris has been sending numerous emails and text messages to Jennifer. It doesn't seem to be putting in a dampener on things with Annabelle though, with the pair recently flaunting their romance in Paris. During a trip to the French capital they were seen dancing around and kissing each other.

"She puts a huge smile on Chris' face," a source told Us Weekly. "He's happier than he's been in a long time. (He) isn't seeing anyone else. He just wants to settle down again."

Pals also say the pair are on the same wave length when it comes to the relationship. "Annabelle seems as discreet as Chris. His kids are still number one," an insider told America's People magazine.

Chris has children Apple, 11, and Moses, nine, with Gwyneth.
