Chris Martin reportedly worries Gwyneth Paltrow is "too righteous" at times.
Hollywood actress Gwyneth has two children with Coldplay star Chris and thinks nothing of opening up about their home life in public. She recently claimed her family are all intolerant of certain foods so she restricts the amount of carbohydrate eight-year-old daughter Apple and son Moses, six, eat.
She also opened up about suffering a life-threatening miscarriage with her third child and uses her lifestyle website GOOP to dispense advice to her fans.
Chris is apparently concerned her comments might not be well received by everyone.
"Chris tells her she's too righteous sometimes and that she needs to think before she starts preaching. But he's the same. It's like they are out to save the world," an insider laughed to the British edition of Closer magazine.
Gwyneth's comments about her children's diet were derided by many, with some claiming reducing carb intake isn't healthy.
The actress is a known fan of unusual diets, having spent years on the macrobiotic eating plan, which is heavy on grains and vegetables.
The 40-year-old star reportedly doesn't understand why her regimented views irritate some people.
"She's convinced people are just envious of her lifestyle and the fact that she's discovered how to live well," a source explained. "Gwyneth gets herself in hot water as she can't help herself. She's a preacher over diet, exercise, meditation and how to raise kids - she thinks people want to hear about her glam lifestyle. She's totally clueless about how much she annoys people."
