Chris Pine has no interest in taking drugs.
The 'Star Trek Into Darkness' actor has never had any desire to experiment with high-inducing substances because he was a shy teenager and used to worry about the effects any chemical could have on him.
In an interview with the new UK issue of Esquire magazine, he said: 'Drugs were never interesting to me. With drinking, you slowly learn how much you can handle, but with drugs I just don't know what the f**k they are or what they do.
'Also, I was a shy kid, a late bloomer. At 22, I was probably 16 emotionally.'
The 32-year-old star is a firm believer in regular therapy and thinks his own personal shrink - who he has visited for years - has helped him fulfil his full potential in life.
Chris said: 'Therapy's like going to the gym. I like this idea of becoming fully realised.
'We have one shot at this life, and we have all these potentials and capabilities, so what I'm interested in is how can you live so that by the end, you've truly investigated yourself and lived life to the full?'
