Christine McVie has spoken out about the potential of Fleetwood Mac playing Glastonbury in the future, after the rumours of an appearance this year proved to be false.
The 'Go Your Own Way' rock icons were at one point the bookies' favourite to headline, but then fans' hopes were scuppered when bassist John McVie fell ill.
But now, the band are back with their classic line-up - recording new material and set for a massive US tour.
Speaking to The Daily Star at yesterday's Ivor Novello Awards about the potential of playing Glasto in years to come, McVie replied: "If Michael Eavis provides the wellies I'll be there."
Addressing the ceremony, she added: "'I would like to announce that I have re-joined Fleetwood Mac and we're in the process of writing a new album for next year."
Earlier this year, the band issued the following statement regarding their reunion:
"It’s official! After a 16-year absence, Christine McVie will be re-joining Fleetwood Mac band mates Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks as they launch the On With The Show Tour. The tour will kick off on Tuesday, Sept. 30 in Minneapolis, Minn. at the Target Center and the reunited band will perform 34 shows in 33 cities across North America."
