An Australlian man could face six months in jail for wearing a Cradle Of Filth t-shirt.
The Brisbane Times has reported that a 34-year-old Brisbane man was due to appear in court today to face charges of causing a public nuisance.
He was spotted by police wearing the 'offensive' t-shirt on George Street on May 6.
The t-shirt in question is reportedly merchandise from notorious UK shock metal act Cradle Of Filth.
Reports suggest that it's the notorious 'Vestal Mastrubating' t-shirt, depicting a nun masturbating on the front and a slogan on the back in large lettering positing that 'Jesus Is A C**t'.
The t-shirt has been banned by the Deputy Chief Censor of the OFLC in New Zealand and the Lord Provost of Scotland called the design 'sick and offensive'.
The man did not appear in court but the case was adjourned to October 14 in his absence.
The public nuisance charge carries a maximum fine of $1000 or six months in jail.
