After revolutionizing the world's perception of UK urban music and emerging as one of the most innovative British artists in years, Craig David is officially back.
Craig David returned to the world music scene this September with his internationally number 1 selling album ‘The Story Goes…'. Craig will be releasing his stunning new single ‘Don't Love You No More (I'm Sorry)' on Monday 24th October 2005.
Following on from his pioneering albums, ‘Born To Do It' and ‘Slicker Than Your Average', ‘Don't Love You No More (I'm Sorry)' is the second single to be released from ‘The Story Goes…', a collection of songs that have already won many fans. “A masterpiece†(reviewed The Times) and “confirmation that Craig is the natural inheritor to George Michaels pop crownâ€, concluded Q magazine.
Recorded with long-time collaborator Mark Hill, Craig admits, “Our approach with this song has been like a lot of my first ones in certain respects. I have really taken a lot of time to make sure the song is not just a production â€" that it really means something deeperâ€.
The result is a startlingly honest, soulful song, with his smoothly striking vocals. ‘Don't Love You No More (I'm Sorry)' is a powerfully emotive song, a tale of lost love and broken hearts, based on Craig's real-life relationship breakdown. “Every song is a part in my life. I'm not trying to prove anything to people or make anyone happy or sad, I just felt like I was now able to let loose, step up a gear and say check this. Just when you were wondering what was going on, listen to this for a minute. This is me, we all hurt and we all loveâ€.
Craig recently visited Egypt where he headlined a special peace concert in terrorist hit Sharm El-Shekh, “Whatever is going on in the world music thankfully will always have the power to unite people in peace. Something we all need a lot more ofâ€. This autumn Craig will continue on his world promo tour, releasing ‘Don't Love You No More (I'm Sorry)' on Monday 24th October 2005 through Warner Bros Records.
