Something has happened in the world of Daft Punk, and unfortunately it's about as exciting as yet another live rendition of 'Get Lucky'. It's a t-shirt.
The unisex t-shirt is being flogged on Daft Punk's website for an eyeroll-provoking $40. The black shirt features the split helmet design that is featured on the front of Random Access Memories.
This is all well and good, except the same t-shirt has probably been being sold on eBay since the release of RAM in May 2013. Indeed, one quick check tells us you can get an identical tee on the auction site for a mere £13.
Despite Random Access Memories, the French electronic duo's fourth album, spawning one of the biggest hits of 2013 and collecting 5 Grammy awards, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo are yet to announce any live shows in support of the record - much to the disappointment of fans.
A recent story reporting that Daft Punk had proposed a performance at US landmark Devil's Tower in February 2014 turned out to be false. Various other rumours, including reports of a live show at SXSW, an appearance at Coachella, and a headline slot at Ultra Music Festival, have also proven to be a load of hot air.
