It was a surprise elimination on Tuesday night's "Dancing With the Stars."
In the end, it came down to MTV reality star Kristin Cavallari and Mark Ballas against soccer goalie Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Head judge Len Goodman said he was in disbelief, because he thought one of the couples would be fighting it out to be in the finals.
Cavallari was the one who got the boot. She and Ballas both appeared to be shocked when their names were called.
And it's no wonder. On Monday night, they scored a 24 out of 30 for their samba to Beyoncé's "Crazy in Love." The third round of performances challenged the celebrities to dance to a song of their choosing that reflects the most memorable year in their lives. Cavallari picked 2005 because it's the year she moved to L.A. and decided to pursue a career in entertainment.
"That was more than crazy in love; that was crazy in lust! Who can say no after that? It's yes, yes, yes, yes for me all the time!" judge Bruno Tonioli said after their dance.
After her elimination, Cavallari admitted she was "a little surprised, to be honest. But I've had such a great time and it's been an awesome experience."
Ballas extended his gratitude to the leggy blonde. "I just am really proud of Kristin. She has great potential, and she really killed it last night. I was honored to be her partner, and I really love you."
