'Dancing With The Stars' Recap: Jennifer Grey Earns Perfect 10s

It's down to the top five celebrities on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars," and it's anyone's game. The judges were clearly happy on Monday night — based on the mostly high scores they were doling out to the famous footworkers — so Tuesday's castoff is far from obvious.

The dancers faced a heady challenge: They didn't know what music they were dancing to until right before the performed. The couples were scored on each of their two performances, and Jennifer Grey danced her way back to the top of the leader board, earning three 10s for one of her dances.

Here's how everyone measured up:

Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer danced the Viennese waltz and scored triple nines on their first performance. Head judge Len Goodman told the Disney kid, "I did smile. Just a little smile. Last week, I saw like a little bulb, this week a gorgeous orchid." Bruno Tonioli said that he the judges were charmed by Massey. "You've become this kind of sophisticated, refined young man. You're a nice young man!" Scores: 27 and 29.

Grey and her partner, Derek Hough, danced the quickstep, and Tonioli likened their performance to that of a vintage Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers number. "You're capable of brilliance. You've got it in you; forget your trouble," Tonioli told them. Scores: 27, 30.

Football legend Kurt Warner and partner Anna Trebunskaya danced the waltz, and the judges noted that there was something endearing about seeing a big guy come out and succeed at being graceful. "You're sort of like if they had a Ken doll for adults and he could ballroom dance," Carrie Ann Inaba said. "You're like a Ken doll! You are sort of not quite at the same level as some of the other people." Scores: 24, 24.

Every week, judges continue to be a bit surprised that consistent low scorer Bristol Palin and her partner, Mark Ballas, continue to be spared by viewers. This week, they danced the Argentine tango, and the judges once again didn't seem all that impressed. "It was clean, well placed, well rehearsed. Lacked a bit of intensity during that dance. Don't start on me; I'm telling the truth over here," Goodman said, after his comments elicited a few groans from the audience. Inaba said she saw some improvement. "The most intensity we have ever seen. You glared at me, I glared back. And you won," she said. Scores: 24, 23.

Front-runner Brandy and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy danced the waltz, and the judges were overwhelmed by her performance. "This was more than a dance; this was an exquisite interpretation of a song! Emotionally, it was like a symphony, it was like a poem," Tonioli said. Scores: 29, 28.
