Don't Expect Any Further New Music From David Bowie, Says Biographer
David Bowie: StarmanIt's now been eight years since David Bowie has issued a new album (2003's Reality) and that may be the singer's swan song, at least according to Paul Trynka, writer of the biography Starman.
Trynka recently told Spinner "My heart says he'll come back, [but] my head says he's likely not to. I think he would only come back if he thinks he could deliver something that will be seismic. If you pop back into the stage, it's got to be something that has a big explosion and lots of flashes. It would be a bit of a miracle if he comes back, but miracles do happen."
There's also doubt about Bowie ever touring again as he hasn't performed live in five years and on tour since 2004 when he cancelled the balance of his then current trek after having to undergo heart surgery.
In all, Bowie has released 23 studio albums over a period of 36 years.
