David Bowie's classic The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars has been named as his best album of all time in a poll voted for by fans.
Ziggy Stardust was the album that saw Bowie first transformed from cult hero into an international superstar icon, adopting the persona of an alien rockstar who crash-landed on Earth. The album features classics such as the title track, 'Suffragette City', 'Five Years', 'Hang On To Yourself' and 'Rock N' Roll Suicide'.
Bowie's top 5 albums were voted as:
1. The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars
2. Low
3. Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps)
4. "Heroes"
5. Hunky Dory

Meanwhile, the much-maligned albums by his side-project Tin Machine all feature in the bottom five, as do his underperforming debut album and the LPs Tonight and Never Let Me Down - which Bowie himself are admits are among his worst work.
