After months of rockers, rappers and R'n'B stars dominating the American charts, the biggest debut in America this week will be from an old, dead crooner. Dean Martin looks like having the highest debuting album in the USA with 'The Essential Dean Martin'.
Capitol Records have put together the latest Dino compilation basing the template on the success of The Beatles '1' album. Martin had 36 top 40 hits between 1949 and 1963. The album features 23 of them.
'The Essential Dean Martin' includes his version of the current Michael Buble hit 'Sway' and his classics 'Everybody Loves Somebody', 'Little Ol' Wine Drinker' and 'That's Amore'.
