With two spots left vacant on the "X Factor" panel and season three about to go into production, the show just may have found the perfect two women to replace L.A. Reid and Britney Spears. According to several reports, Demi Lovato and Simon Cowell just might be joined by Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio.
With auditions slated to kick off Tuesday in Charleston, North Carolina, Simon is expected to make an announcement sometime Monday (May 20). He tweeted, "We start x factor auditions in Charleston on Tuesday. The new panel will be announced Monday. This is going to be an interesting show!"
And, now the buzz is at a fevered pitch that the former Destiny's Child member and the Mexican pop star are likely to be the names that Simon releases ahead of the taping. According to E! News, the ladies are in final negotiations. Rowland was a judge on the eighth season of the U.K. "X Factor," and the source noted that it was "the highest-rated U.K. season," adding, "We have a lot of faith in her as a judge."
As for Rubio, she judged on "La Voz... Mexico" and recently picked up a spot on "La Voz Kids." The E! source further reports that the show is looking to hire singers who have experience mentoring on this type of program. Spears and Demi had none when they signed on for the show last year.
Last week, Lovato told she has some "crazy" names in mind for who she'd like to see replace her pal, Spears. "I'll like text [Simon] and be like 'I have a crazy idea!' And he's like 'Who? Talk to me!' And I'll like call him or whatever and we'll talk," she said. "Simon is like, 'Anything is possible.' Last year we had Britney Spears. That was incredible."
