Emeli Sande was left 'upset' by her BRIT Awards snub at this year's ceremony, it has been reported.
The singer, who was awarded this year's Brits Critics Choice award, was unable to collect her award at the event as ITV struggled to keep on schedule.
A source told The Sun: "Emeli deserved her moment in the limelight in front of her peers, the industry and family,"
"She'd been looking forward to it for months and was really disappointed when her win was not properly recognised. She's worked incredibly hard over the last year and what she has achieved has been phenomenal."
Meanwhile, Lily Allen has joined a number of musicians in slamming the BRIT Awards decision to cut off Adele during her acceptance speech.
The Someone Like You singer flipped the middle finger live on air after host James Corden ran onstage and interrupted her speech due to time constraints.
Allen posted on Twitter: “I'd rather hear adeles acceptance speech. I can't say I'm surprised. It was like the music industry's attitude to women played out as a metaphor.”
