Emma Bunton is releasing an album in America.
She will release her debut US album, Free Me, on January 25.
Emma, who enjoyed a Top 5 dance hit in the US with remixes of the album's title track, also plans a promotional visit to America next month.
The 28-year-old popstar told Billboard, "When I first heard that the dance remixes were on their way up the charts in the US, I was ecstatic. I couldn't wait to get there.
"They (America's Spice Girls' fans) were always there for us, which is why I always feel so at home there."
In September, Emma performed at the 11th Billboard Dance Music Summit in New York and says the experience was "amazing..it gave me the feeling that things are really rolling (for me) in the US. I feel like it's happening quickly there."
Emma has just returned to the UK from India where she spent 10 days filming a "celebrity swap" documentary for BBC2. The documentary compares the Bollywood and British celebrity scenes.
"I will never forget that experience," she said. "They work without schedules, which is very different from England where everything is perfectly scheduled. They thought nothing of ringing you up and saying, 'Let's do an interview.' They also don't believe in storyboards."
She says she also accepted a small part in a Bollywood film and that despite the hectic filming each day she found the environment very relaxed and spiritual."I felt very calm there," she said.
According to her official website, Emma is currently writing songs for her third album and will be taking off the majority of December for an extended Christmas break.
