Estelle is set to duet with Adele.
The 'American Boy' singer wants to work with her fellow British singing sensation - who she described as "dope" - despite previously slamming her "not soul" sound.
Explaining the new direction her album will take, Estelle said: "I'm really excited to start working on my next album. I'm going to go totally left field and surprise a lot of people.
"I'm going to hit it out the ball park with this one. I'm thinking a mix of Coldplay and Marvin Gaye."
Estelle has previously bemoaned the lack of Black soul stars, singling out Adele and 'Warwick Avenue' singer Duffy for trying to be something they are not.
She said: "It's hilarious. I'm not mad at them - but I'm just wondering, how the hell is there not a single black person in the public eye singing soul?
Adele isn't soul. She sounds like she heard some Aretha Franklin records once and she's got a deeper voice - that doesn't mean she's soul.
"That doesn't mean anything to me in the grand scheme of my life as a black person. I'm like, 'You're telling me this is my music?' "
